Town Technology Statement

Town boys harness technology in authentic ways to develop judgement and capacity to impact the world for good. Students are guided by the following concepts: core curricular foundation, authentic use, adaptive thinking, problem solving, sound judgement, and ethical decision making.

  • To introduce and build capacity using tools that support classroom curricula.

  • To document and reflect upon student learning throughout the school year - in all subject areas.

  • To tell their story.

  • To engage with the curriculum in new ways.

  • To plant seeds for future integration project.s

K-4 Digital Portfolios

Each K-4 student creates and adds to their annual digital portfolio. This portfolio serves as a record of their growth, learning, and projects throughout the year.

Coding

Students as young as kindergarten are exposed to coding logic and patterns. Hopscotch is a popular app used to further their learning about sequencing, positioning, loops, layers, and actions. Students have used Hopscotch to demonstrate their understanding of fractions, create book trailers, and more.
